Enjoy a fun family outing at Gopher State Railway Museum the first Saturday in May between the hours of 10a and 4p.

* Kids (and adults) - decorate your own flower pot at the flower garden and plant a flower in it for mom.

* Tour the depot and other rail cars and static displays

GSRM's caboose train consists of a variety of historic cabooses ranging in eras from 1900 to 1956 and representing a variety of Minnesota railroads, operating on a short length of track on GSRM's museum grounds.

Power for the train is one of GSRM's operating locomotives, 1940 EMC model SW-1 number NSP4 or 1954 Alco model S-4 number FW-1.

Other historic cabooses on display include 1871 Burlington waycar number 14534, 1911 Wisconsin Central caboose number 99114 and 1946 Minneapolis & St Louis caboose number 1201.

Admission to the pre Mother's Day Weekend eveint is as follows:

$10 - Adults

$5 - children under 16

FREE - children 2 and under

Tickets are available the day of the event at the ticket window inside the depot.
