Gopher State Railway Museum

• GSRM was established as a Minnesota non-profit, 501(c)3 corporation in 1990

• GSRM's registered reporting marks are "GRMX"

• Approximately 50 members

• GSRM owns 20 acres of property north of New Prague, MN

• 2 - Diesel locomotives in collection

• 3 - Cabooses (waycars) in collection

• 6 - Passenger cars in collection

• Oldest piece of equipment - CB&Q waycar 14534 built December 1871

• 2 - Fairmont motor cars

• Most unusual piece of rolling stock: Milwaukee Road T-1, overhead wire trouble shooting car rebuilt from a Buda inspection car

• "Hill Top" used to be a station with a siding (no depot) on the adjacent Minneapolis & St Louis railway line approximately where GSRM is now located

GSRM's Mission

The mission of the Gopher State Railway Museum is to educate the public through collection, preservation, restoration and operation of railroad equipment and artifacts.
